Schedule your next meeting or business event at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites® Des Moines-Northwest. Our newly renovated hotel features 15,000 square feet of modern, flexible meeting space that can handle groups from 5 to 600.

Our 18 separate rooms are ideal for accommodating events of nearly any style.

 
Meeting Sets
 

Classroom Style Seating uses clothed 18" x 8ft tables with 3 to 4 guests per table.

Round or Crescent Round Seating uses clothed 5ft-diameter round tables.

Conference or U-shape Seating uses clothed/skirted 30" x 6ft tables.

Theatre Style Seating uses banquet chairs only.

 

Speaker and display tables use 30" x 6ft tables clothed and skirted.

Meeting tables are set w/note-taking brochures/pens, mints & ice water.

Staging w/stairs (16"x4'x8'), standing and table-top lecterns, easel stands. US & Iowa Colors.  

Exhibitor Table Top Standard uses 30" x 6ft table with boxed linen, 2 chairs, wastebasket & 110 volt electrical access.

Lobby Pre-Function

Dimensions: 90' X 25'

The lobby prefunction area is a great place for your guests to mingle before, and during your event breaks.

Heartland Ballroom

Dimensions: 50' X 90'

​The Heartland ballroom features 4,500 square feet of flexible event space. Our banquet style set up seats up to 400 people and is perfect for award dinners, holiday parties, and banquets.

Salon's A & B North

Dimensions: 50' X 45'

​Salon's A & B North are perfect for your next company address with up to 325 guests seated theater style or 165 guests seated classroom style. 

Salon's B South & C

Dimensions: 50' X 45'

​Salon B South and C features 2250 square feet of event space seating up to 165 people classroom style. 

Salon's A, B, or C

Dimensions: 50' X 30'

​Salon's A, B, and C can be easily divided and set up to fit the needs of your family or group event, meeting or wedding. These salons features 1500 square feet of event space seating up to 125 people banquet style.

Salon D

Dimensions: 18' x 20'

Salon D is perfect for a smaller intimate gathering celebrating small family events such as a rehersal dinner, breakfast gift opening after your wedding, anniversary or baby shower. Seating banquet style will seat up to 24 people. 

Bennigan's Meeting Room

Dimensions 44' x 29'

​The Bennigan's Meeting Room features 1,276 square feet of flexible space. Our classroom style setup seats up to 75 people, and is perfect for a breakout session, or for educational purposes.

Bennigan's East & West

Dimensions East: 21' x 29' - West: 23' x 29'

​Bennigan's East or West meeting rooms are perfect for groups up to 50. Families love this casual atmosphere for rehearsal dinners. Our full banquet menu and a limited Bennigan’s menu are available.

Colorado, Michigan, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, and Indiana Rooms

Dimensions: 22' x 25'

​These seven event rooms are all newly remodled and located on our lower level. Perfect for conference breakout sessions or your banquet and rehersal dinner for up to 40 people.

Wisconsin Room

Dimensions: 51' x 22'

The Wisconsin Room is perfect for hosted receptions or rehersal dinners for up to 80 guests. 

Indiana Room

Dimensions: 22' x 25'

​The Indiana Room features 550 square feet of space perfect for your next small event featuring up to 40 people banquet style and 30 people classroom style.

Iowa Boardroom

Dimensions: 45' x 25'

​At 1125 square feet the Iowa boardroom and annex lounge is the perfect spot for your weekly or monthly board of directors meetings, meet and greets or to prepare your bridal party.

Lounge

Dimensions: 17' x 21'

​The lounge is located adjacent to our boardroom and is the perfect spot to greet guests, or to prepare your bridal party.

In-House table cloth colors include:  white, black, forest, navy & sandalwood.

In-House cloth napkin colors:  black, white, chocolate & forest.

In-House skirting colors:  white, chocolate, cream & forest. 

 

Receiving & Drayage

 

We'll receive and store deliveries for your upcoming trade show or event at no additional charge. 
Just prior to your arrival we'll ensure that these items are waiting in the appropriate conference/exhibit area.
Hotel delivery entrances are all at ground-level (no docks), with ground-floor and lower level entries 6ft wide. 

 

Lower level deliveries can be made directly to that floor without use of an elevator. 
When your event is over prepared boxes can stay with us until their scheduled pick-up. 
Sorry the Hotel cannot be responsible for packaging or arrangement of items following events.

Our Des Moines meeting and event space comes complete with complimentary Wi-Fi throughout each room. The Heartland ballroom features a state of the art HD projection system. Audio visual equipment can be rented daily depending on your needs.

Our onsite Des Moines, Iowa catering staff provides an assortment of food options for your next meeting or event.
